The University of Iowa Prevention Research Center for Rural Health, in partnership with the Midwestern Public Health Training Center, is continuing its webinar series entitled: “Conversations on Health Equity Research and Practice.” This webinar is intended for practitioners, researchers, and students who are interested in advancing their research and practice for health equity and social justice. 

The aim of this webinar series is to provide concrete research and practice approaches, frameworks, theories, and tools to advance health equity and social justice, specifically within an anti-racism, anti-oppression stance. With this aim in mind, our conversations begin with a brief description of a specific project, and then speaker situates the project in anti-racism anti-oppression approaches.

Entitled "The danger of leaving men and boys behind in HIV Vision 2030: Experiences from rural South Africa."

• Inadvertent health inequity in HIV research & programs

• Why ‘health equity’ is important in ending the HIV epidemic by 2030.
