The CDC's Prevention Research Center Network

We are one of 26 Prevention Research Centers in the US. Learn more from the CDC about the network of PRCs.

Because UI has a PRC, we can participate in other research networks.

The Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network (PI: Askelson) works to reduce the burden of cancer, especially among those disproportionately affected, using community based participatory research.

The Managing Epilepsy Well Network (PIs: Ghearing/Sajatovic) conducts research together with community leaders and shares findings with the epilepsy community with the goal of developing and testing tools for people with epilepsy and healthcare providers.

The Vaccine Confidence Network (PI: Askelson) examines COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy in local communities, promotes vaccine confidence, increases vaccine uptake, and reduces disparities.
