Biography

I am super passionate about COVID-19, vaccines and understanding vaccine hesitancy. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to work in these areas at the UI-PRC-RH. Other interest areas include substance abuse, mental health, and urban-rural health disparities.

What work do you do with the PRC?

I have worked primarily on the VCN grant. I created the Pharmacists’ Guide to Increasing Equitable Access to COVID-19 Vaccines, assisted in survey development and analysis, coded interviews and Facebook comments, conducted qualitative interviews with vaccine-hesitant people, and developed CE training to promote vaccine confidence.

Please comment on what one of the PRC-RH values means to you?

The PRC-RH value of health equity means that everyone has the opportunity to be as healthy as possible. I believe a health equity lens should be applied to all public health work. A health equity lens allows us to identify disadvantaged populations so we can intervene to meet their needs.
