I am particularly interested in research on queer identity and the intersection with sexually transmitted infections/ reproductive health as well as external influences on queer health behavior and mental health via modelling.

What work you do with the PRC?

I have taken part in qualitative survey development, interviewing, data coding, and data analysis. This has been on behalf of the Active Iowa, COVID-19 vaccine confidence, and CPCRN projects.

Health equity to me means that disadvantaged social identities are afforded the same/ more opportunities than those that are of advantage to reap the same benefits. This is the inclusion and promotion of diversity via providing resources to those that have not been generationally given them in all sectors of life (health care, education, career, rights, etc.).
